Are You Ready To Send Your Kids Back-To-School?

My new frugal lifestyle has really changed the way I approach any need for new ’stuff’ in the house. A few years ago, I would approach back-to-school shopping in a very lackadaisical, expensive way. I’d grab the kids lists and off we’d head to Target. I’d give them their lists and off they’d go. “I want the folders with the kitties.” “I need SpongeBob on my notebook.” Sound familiar?

The new me has a closet stockpiled with school items. I shop year round. I have 5¢ 1-subject notebooks, FREE pocket folders, 10¢ loose leaf paper 70 ct., 5¢ compasses, 1¢ protractors, 5¢ rulers, 25¢ - 75¢ 3-ring binders, FREE packages of pens, 1¢ packages of mechanical pencils, FREE pencils…

I can’t believe I used to leave Target with a $200 + bill, and now my children go to school for pennies.
